Based on the recommendations of the University President, Prof. Dr. Zeravan Abdulmuhsen Asaad, aiming to provide voluntary awareness and development services to various community segments, and within the activities of the “Zakat Al-Ilm” Foundation at Cihan University-Duhok (in coordination with the Kurdistan Women’s Union – Zakho Center), the specialized English language course for young women is successfully ongoing in Zakho, following its launch on July 6, 2026.

Conducted by the expert lecturer Mr. Mohammed Faisal Habib, from General Education Dept.

Health Awareness and Community Empowerment

As part of the Zakat Al-Ilm Foundation initiative

the College of Nursing at Cihan University–Duhok continues to offer its scientific course entitled “Health Awareness and Community Health.” In this context, another valuable seminar was delivered by Mr. (M. Ziyad Jamil) on (Vaccines and Their Role in Combating Diseases), aiming to enhance students’ health and scientific awareness, strengthen their nursing competencies, and reinforce their practical and hands-on skills.

Launch of a Specialized Medical Course at Cihan University–Duhok

As part of the ongoing activities and programs of the Zakat Al-Ilm Foundation for Awareness and Development, the College of Pharmacy, in cooperation with the College of Nursing at Cihan University–Duhok, has launched today, Saturday, June 6, 2026, a specialized medical science course for medical department students, entitled: “Medication Awareness and Community Health”, the course will continue for five days.

Zakat Al-Ilm Foundation Organizes a Workshop on Medication Knowledge and Public Health

As part of the ongoing activities and initiatives of the Zakat Al-Ilm Foundation, a specialized workshop entitled “Medication Knowledge and Public Health” was held on June 10, 2026, for the university’s faculty and staff. The workshop was delivered by Dr. Zeyad Abdullah Bashir from the College of Pharmacy at Cihan University Duhok.
