On May 15, 2025, Dr. Mohammed Nazar the head of the IT department at the IUE university took a leading role in supervising and organizing the diverse projects of undergraduate students preparing to participate in the scientific project festivals at IUE University. Their meticulous coordination involved scheduling rehearsals, allocating resources, and ensuring that each project met the event’s standards. Alongside providing technical guidance, the head fostered teamwork and effective communication among students, helping them present their work confidently and professionally. This comprehensive supervision and organization greatly contributed to the students’ readiness and the overall success of their participation in the festival.

On April 27, 2025, during the major project festival at Cihan University, the head of the IT department provided crucial supervision to undergraduate students working on AI projects. Their guidance ensured that the students applied sound technical principles and innovative approaches to their work. By closely monitoring progress, offering expert advice, and facilitating problem-solving discussions, the supervisor helped maintain high standards of quality and encouraged creative solutions. This mentorship played a vital role in enhancing the students’ learning experience and the overall success of their AI projects at the festival.

On Saturday, November 22, 2025, Assistant Lecturer Hozan Qasim and Lecturer Dr. Haliz Salman from the Department of Medical Laboratory Sciences, College of Health Sciences, Cihan University–Duhok, conducted a workshop in collaboration with the College of Nursing within the Zakata Zansti initiative. This activity was carried out as a Zakat of Knowledge, aiming to disseminate scientific understanding and promote community education.

The workshop focused on Antimicrobial Resistance (AMR) and Antimicrobial Stewardship (AMS), highlighting the collaborative roles of laboratory and nursing professionals in enhancing AMS through accurate diagnostics, proper specimen handling, infection-control adherence, and safe, evidence-based antibiotic use.

Aim:
To emphasize the joint contribution of laboratory and nursing professionals in strengthening AMS and mitigating AMR, in the spirit of knowledge sharing as a form of Zakat.

The preparatory meeting for the Scientific and Intellectual Forum titled ‘The Zakat of Knowledge and Building Cognitive Awareness: Multiple Civilizational Perspectives,’ scheduled to be held on February 15, 2026, was held at the headquarters of Wa’ai Center for Consultations and Capacity Building in Erbil. The meeting witnessed discussions on the main strategic axes that contribute to serving society in general and supporting scientific researchers in particular, in collaboration between Wa’ai Center and Al-Qalaa College.

Under the chairmanship of Professor Dr. Mohsen Omar, and in collaboration with the University of Kirkuk, babagurgur University organized a distinguished dialogue seminar on 15/9/2025, which lasted for six hours and addressed the latest developments in the field of artificial intelligence and its rapidly expanding applications in various domains.

The seminar was attended by a group of prominent figures and academics, aimed at enhancing the role of universities in keeping pace with the digital technology revolution and employing it to serve scientific research and society.

This meeting served as an effective platform for exchanging visions and ideas about the challenges and opportunities presented by artificial intelligence and opened new horizons for research and practical collaboration between universities.

“Was presented by Miss Shayma Ismail Ali at the Peshmar Hall, Cihan University – Duhok. The session targeted staff and employees. This seminar helps beginner authors turn personal ideas into research projects, focusing on idea generation and topic selection. Key topics include literature review, research design, and publication processes. Participants engage in practical discussions and learn about authorship ethics. By the end, they’ll be ready to produce credible, publishable work.

The College of Law at the University of the World – Sulaymaniyah, in cooperation with the Directorate of Guidance and Ethical Leadership in Sulaymaniyah, held a seminar on the methods and techniques of scientific research writing for a group of officers from the Traffic Directorate in Sulaymaniyah at the seminar hall of the Traffic Directorate in Sulaymaniyah. The importance of knowing how to write scientific research was discussed as one of the requirements for promotion for officers in the Ministry of Interior.

and other software and gaming projects, this exhibition events makes students show their capabilities, meet new partner around the different academic places, also at the end the top 10 projects has been awarded, finally we got a good score and prize.

On Sunday (January 26, 2025), the Computer Department at the Cihan Institute participated in the second annual science fair at Knowledge University with six projects from students and teachers.

At this fair, the projects of the cihan Institute garnered the interest of the public and the media, and at the end of the fair, the honorary award and successful project were given to one of the projects from the Cihan Institute.

  4. Overseeing and providing guidance on the development of the IQ Booking Tourism Program for 20 students.
