Sunday 5/7, a scientific competency enhancement course for (Anesthesia Assistants) commenced at Cihan University-Sulaimaniya. The course is organized by the “Zakati Zanist” Foundation in partnership with the Departments of Anesthesia and Law, and in coordination with the Directorate of Health in Sulaimaniya.

At the beginning of the ceremony, Dr. Sarkhel, Deputy Director of Health in Sulaimaniya, delivered the directorate’s speech, expressing gratitude to Cihan University for its continuous support for such courses. Subsequently, Asst. Prof. Dr. Sadat Abdulla Aziz, Vice President of the University, delivered the university presidency’s speech to the attendees. It is worth noting that Asst. Prof. Dr. Nuri Hama Said (Director of the Zakati Zanist Foundation), Dr. Avin Salih (Head of the Anesthesia Department), Mr. Hemin Rashid (Director of Quality Assurance at the University), and Mr. Kamal (Director of the Anesthesia Unit at the Directorate of Health in Sulaimaniya) participated in the opening ceremony of the course.

Course Duration & Instructors:
The course will last for 2 weeks, from 5/7 to 15/7, and certificates of participation will be distributed to the participants at the end. The sessions cover various important topics and practical experiences, delivered by a distinguished panel of specialists:

Within the framework of volunteer work for the Zakat Al-Ilm foundation at Cihan University Sulaimaniyah , The 4th Professional Training Course for Lawyers Commences at Cihan University-Sulaimaniya
Today, Saturday (July 11, 2026), at 9:00 AM, the fourth professional training course for lawyers officially commenced at Cihan University-Sulaimaniya. This joint initiative between Cihan University-Sulaimaniya and the Sulaimaniya Regional Court of Appeals is organized under the supervision of the Zakat Al-Im Foundation and the University’s Law Department. The opening ceremony was attended by distinguished guests, including: Judge Omar Ahmed Mohamed, President of the Sulaimaniya Regional Court of Appeals; Prof. Dr. Awat Omar Haji, President of the Garmiyan Regional Court of Appeals; Assist. Prof. Dr. Sadat Abdullah, Vice President of the University; and Assist. Prof. Dr. Nuri Hama Saeed, Director of the Zakat Al-Im Foundation, alongside esteemed judges, course instructors, and a significant number of graduates and lawyers.

Opening Panel Discussion: (Professionalism in Legal Practice)
The course kicked off with an insightful panel discussion titled “Professionalism in Legal Practice: Between Ethical Commitment and Legal Competence.” Moderated by Assist. Prof. Dr. Nuri Hama Saeed, the panel featured two main themes:

The First Theme: (The Ethical Duties of a Lawyer)

Presented by Judge Omar Ahmed Mohamed, who emphasized the vital role of ethical responsibilities in the legal profession, including honesty, integrity, confidentiality, and the dedication to self-development and continuous reading.

The Second Theme: (A Comprehensive Overview of Civil and Criminal Lawsuit Principles)

Presented by Judge Prof. Dr. Awat Omar Haji, who provided a scientific overview of the most essential legal principles governing civil and criminal cases.

Course Schedule:
This highly valuable training course will take place every Saturday at 9:00 AM on the campus of Cihan University-Sulaimaniya and will run until the end of August

On June 28, 2026, within the awareness activities of the (Zakat Al-Ilm) Foundation, a seminar titled “Data Security and Digital Identity Protection in the Era of Social Media Platforms” was presented by Mr. (M. Khalid Ibrahim) from computer Sience Department.

– Correct methods for securing personal data and sensitive information.
– Highlighting key threats and risks facing digital identity on social media.
– Explaining how to secure accounts and enhance personal cybersecurity.

Objective: To enhance general digital awareness and cybersecurity literacy in the communit

As a continuation of the activities and services of the (Zakat Al-Ilm) foundation at Cihan University-Duhok for community awareness and development, and in the presence of a number of faculty members and staff, a distinctive seminar was presented by Mr. (Asst Lect Faiz Sabah), a faculty member in the Business Administration Department, on “Financial Technology and its Role in Economic Development.”
