The Department of Business Administration Conducted Campaigns for Environmental Cleanliness and Health Safety

On Thursday, November 6, 2025, the Department of Business Administration at Cihan University–Erbil conducted a campaign to promote environmental cleanliness and public health. The activity aimed to raise awareness about maintaining a clean environment and safeguarding community health.

The campaign was conducted under the supervision of Assistant Professor Dr. Hawkar Qasim Pirdawod and coordinated by Assistant Lecturer Hevi Mohammed Qadir. To support the initiative, the supervisor and students prepared over 100 paper bags as an alternative to nylon bags. These bags were then distributed to eight bakeries across Erbil.

During their visits, the students explained that using paper bags instead of nylon bags can help reduce environmental pollution and limit the spread of diseases. They encouraged bakery owners to replace nylon bags with paper ones, highlighting how small changes in daily habits can create a significant positive impact over time.

The campaign was met with appreciation and joy from the bakery owners, who were motivated to continue supporting such initiatives. The Department of Business Administration at Cihan University–Erbil has consistently led environmental efforts through campaigns such as Saving Water, Saving the Planet, Don’t Waste Food, and Reduce Your Usage, Brighten the Future. This campaign not only contributes to reducing nylon bag usage but also plays an important role in promoting cultural development and environmental protection in the city.
