Summer Course “Media and Marketing in the Age of Artificial Intelligence” Launched at Cihan University – Sulaimaniya

Within the framework of volunteer work for the Zakat Al-Ilm foundation at Cihan University Sulaimaniyah , On Sunday, August 2, 2026, the summer course titled “Media and Marketing in the Age of Artificial Intelligence” launched. This course is organized by the Department of Digital Media and Marketing at Cihan University – Sulaimaniya, aiming to enhance the scientific level and skills of participants in the modern technological era.

The course commenced in the presence of students and participants, with Assistant Lecturer Sarwat Abdullah and Assistant Lecturer Basoz Tofiq beginning their lectures. During the course program, Assistant Lecturer Sarwat Abdullah presents topics related to history, media, and practical tools, while Assistant Lecturer Basoz Tofiq delivers sessions on the impact of artificial intelligence on advertising.

Within the framework of volunteer work for the Zakat Al-Ilm foundation at Cihan University Sulaimaniyah , Cihan University-Sulaimaniya, in collaboration with the Career Development Center (CDC), has officially launched the “AI Certificate for Higher Education Practice” training program. This specialized program is designed for academic staff and faculty members, taking place at the AI Lab in Cihan University-Sulaimaniya. The course runs for a total duration of five days with one hour of training per day. Expert instructors Lect. Sherko Murad and Dr. Pashew Nuri deliver the training, focusing on integrating AI tools into scientific research, enhancing teaching efficiency, implementing active learning designs, and developing AI-resilient assessments within the academic field.

Within the framework of volunteer work for the Zakat Al-Ilm foundation at Cihan University Sulaimaniyah , An English language course is being conducted in coordination between the Career Development Center (CDC) at Cihan University-Sulaimaniya and the N2N Organization. The course aims to enhance speaking skills and practical language use in both professional environments and daily life.
Having launched on July 15, 2026, and currently ongoing, this course focuses on practical aspects of the language and workplace communication, rather than merely memorizing vocabulary and grammar rules.

Students from the Department of Biomedical Sciences participated in the World Diabetes Day Conference organized by the Ashti Health Organization in collaboration with the Erbil Health Directorate. The event took place on Monday, November 24, 2025, at the Radisson Hotel in Erbil and opened with a speech delivered by the Governor of Erbil, Mr. Omed Khoshnaw, who emphasized the importance of raising awareness about diabetes and promoting health education within the community.

The conference featured several distinguished speakers. Dr. Omer Surchi presented an overview of the physiological changes that occur in the body as a result of diabetes, highlighting the challenges patients face in managing long-term complications. Additionally, Dr. Isra Omer, Dr. Shna Bagzade, and Dr. Nawshad Nawzad discussed the latest developments in diagnostic methods, prevention strategies, and treatment approaches designed to control diabetes and prevent disease progression.

Throughout the event, Biomedical Sciences students took an active role by participating in the discussion sessions, asking insightful questions, and contributing to the organization of the conference. Their involvement provided them with valuable exposure to current medical developments as well as practical experience in engaging with healthcare professionals and supporting scientific events.
