Within the framework of volunteer work for the Zakat Al-Ilm foundation at Cihan University Sulaimaniyah ,provide improved psychological and social services, the Director of the Psychological and Social Counseling Center at Cihan University – Sulaimaniya participated in a specialized meeting held on Sunday, June 28, 2026, in Erbil.

The meeting brought together representatives and heads of psychological and social counseling centers from public and private universities and institutes, alongside representatives from the SEED Foundation and the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research.

The main objectives of the meeting included:

Advancing the work and operations of counseling centers across academic institutions.

Enhancing the quality of psychological and social support services provided to students, faculty, and university staff.

Cihan University – Sulaymaniyah organized a skills development training course for its managers and employees

Within the framework of volunteer work for the Zakat Al-Ilm foundation at Cihan University Sulaimaniyah ,Pursuant to the university decree issued by the Presidency of Cihan University-Sulaimaniya, and as part of ongoing efforts to enhance administrative and professional skills, a special professional development course was held for university directors and staff, which commenced on July 8, 2026.

The program comprised three main seminars delivered by distinguished experts. The first session, titled “Public Relations in Institutions,” was presented by Prof. Dr. Omed Rafiq Fatah, President of Cihan University-Sulaimaniya. The second seminar, “Psychology of Interpersonal Relations,” was delivered by Prof. Dr. Karim Sharif Qarachatani. Additionally, a session on “Etiquette and Body Language” was presented by Lecturer Hawkar Rafiq Rahman.

The organization of such courses and training programs reflects Cihan University-Sulaimaniya’s commitment to human resource development and advancing the professional capabilities of its staff.

Language and Cultural Awareness

Cihan University-Duhok Launches an English Language Training Course in Coordination with the Peshmerga Cultural Center

Under the directives of Prof. Dr. Zeravan Abdulmohsen Assad, President of Cihan University-Duhok, and as part of the university’s ongoing community service initiatives under the umbrella of the “Scientific Zakat” institution, in coordination with the Peshmerga Cultural Center, a specialized English language training course has been launched.

The course commenced on Sunday, July 12, 2026, and is being conducted by Ms. Jiyan Moatasem, a lecturer in the Department of English at Cihan University-Duhok.

– Focusing on addressing the fear of speaking English and breaking communication barriers.

– Introducing participants to contemporary technologies and tools that contribute to accelerating the learning process.

– Developing interpersonal and social communication skills while boosting self-confidence

Language and Cultural Awareness

The Scientific Zakat Foundation Concludes a Specialized English Learning Course in Semel

Under the guidance of Prof. Dr. Zeravan Abdulmohsen Assad, President of Cihan University-Duhok, and with the aim of serving diverse segments of society—within the university’s ongoing community service initiatives and under the umbrella of the “Scientific Zakat” project—a specialized, free training course was conducted in coordination with the Semel Sports and Youth Center, titled:

“How to Learn the English Language and the Impact of English on Employment and Youth Development”.

Following a week of training, the course closing ceremony was held on Sunday, July 19, 2026. The course was presented by Mr. Husam Nizar, an expert lecturer from the Department of English Language. The objectives were to strengthen discussion skills, utilize modern technologies for learning, and prepare youth for the job market.

Afterward, certificates of participation were distributed to the attendees in recognition of their commitment and successful completion of the course.
