The course, held in the conference hall of the Ankawa Royal Hotel in Erbil, took place from October 6 to October 10, 2024. It was a joint effort between the Department of Biochemical Analysis and the Department of International Relations and Diplomacy at Cihan University – Erbil.

The course was under supervision of Assistant.Prof. Dr. Enas Diaa, a lecturer in the Department of International Relations and Diplomacy, who provided both theoretical and practical lectures on strategic planning, crisis management, and the application of artificial intelligence in strategic plans aimed at rebuilding Iraqi state institutions. This initiative highlights Cihan University – Erbil’s ongoing commitment to organizing such activities across various fields, with the goal of serving the community and contributing to the development of modern state institutions.

The training course organized by Cihan University – Erbil, in partnership with the Alaistikshaf Company, exemplifies the university’s dedication to enhancing the skills of administrative leaders in Iraq. By addressing critical topics such as strategic planning, crisis management, and the integration of artificial intelligence, this initiative contributes to the broader effort of rebuilding and modernizing state institutions. Under the directives of Prof. Dr. Zeravan Abdulmohsen Asaad, President of Cihan University-Duhok, and as part of the commitment to community awareness and development across various societal groups within the framework of the university’s “Zakat Al-Elm” project, and in coordination with the Peshmerga Cultural Center, the closing ceremony of the specialized First Aid course was held on Monday, July 13, 2026.

The course was conducted for the Medical Field Unit (9th Division) of the Peshmerga forces and presented by Mr. Bassam Showkat, an international trainer and specialist in Anesthesia and Intensive Care.

At the conclusion of the ceremony, certificates of participation and appreciation were distributed to the successful participants, honoring their efforts and highlighting the importance of empowering the brave Peshmerga forces with essential field and emergency medical skills.

A Field Visit and Health Awareness Seminar for Students of the Pinus Institute at Cihan University-Duhok

On Thursday, July 23, 2026, as part of the diverse activities of the Zakat Al-Ilm Foundation at Cihan University-Duhok, and based on the directives of the University President, Professor Dr. Zirvan Abdulmohsen Asaad, to prioritize this program and extend its benefits to various segments of society, the Cihan-Duhok Academy, in cooperation with the Pinus Institute of Languages, organized a scientific and awareness-raising trip for the institute’s students.

The main objectives of the visit were:

Field Visit to Medical Laboratories:

Introducing students to modern equipment and devices used for testing, and providing them with practical training in scientific and applied procedures.

Health Awareness Seminar:

A seminar presented by Mr. Bassam Shawkat, covering general and important topics related to public health.
Explaining and demonstrating methods of prevention and safety, and highlighting the importance of public health in daily life.

Seminar on “Discipline and Accountability in the University Environment” at Cihan University-Duhok

Within the activities of the (Zakat Al-Ilm) foundation at Cihan University-Duhok, and in the presence of faculty members and staff, a seminar was delivered by Dr. (Dezhwar Ahmed), a lecturer in the Department of Law, titled “Discipline and Accountability in the University Environment” on June 24, 2026.
