On Sunday, March 23, 2025, the Department of Public Administration at Cihan University-Erbil organized a tree-planting activity. As part of the initiative, the department planted ten trees along 120 Meter Street in Erbil, in collaboration with the Directorate of Parks Engineering. The campaign aimed to increase greenery and enhance the environmental beauty of the street and the city.
Several fourth-stage students from the Department of Public Administration participated in the campaign under the supervision of Assistant Lecturer Hevi Mohammed Qadir. The event was also attended by Mr. Safin Rashid, Head of 120 Meter Street at the Directorate.
During the campaign, tree-planting materials were distributed, and the students actively took part in planting and watering the trees. The supervising lecturer emphasized the importance of such environmental initiatives for both students and the wider community.

On Tuesday, February 18, 2025, the Public Administration Department at Cihan University-Erbil, under the supervision of Assistant Lecturer Raz Azad Jalal, organized a voluntary activity at the Erbil Orphanage. Upon arrival, Assistant Lecturer Raz Azad and the students were warmly received by Mr. Sherwan Abdulrahman.
They prepared and served lunch to 70 children, creating a supportive and cheerful atmosphere. After lunch, the students interacted with the children, playing games and having conversations. They learned more about the orphanage’s daily operations and the children’s needs. This experience provided valuable insights into social welfare and the challenges of orphanage care.

On Sunday, May 25, 2025, in the presence of Assistant Professor Dr. Abdulsatar Karem, Vice President of the University, he honored and congratulated the students who participated and volunteered in the activities of the Department of Business Administration and the Department of Public Administration.
At the beginning of the ceremony, Assistant Professor Dr. Hawkar Qasim Birdawood, Head of the Department of Business Administration and Public Administration, delivered a speech congratulating the students who had consistently participated in the departments’ activities. Following this, Assistant Professor Dr. Abdulsatar Karem spoke with great emphasis about the achievements of both departments and expressed his appreciation to the staff and students for their contributions.
At the end of the ceremony, the awards were first presented by Assistant Professor Dr. Abdulsatar Karem, followed by Assistant Professor Dr. Hawkar Qasim Birdawood. Other staff members, including Assistant Professor Dr. Qusay Hamid Al-Salami, Dr. Aram Hanna Massoudi, Dr. Zainab Yousif Mohammed, and Assistant Lecturer Hevi Mohammed Qadir, also participated in presenting the awards to the students from both departments.
