On Wednesday, February 12, 2025, Kastro Aso Mohammed, a fourth-year student from the Department of Business Administration at Cihan University-Erbil held a seminar for students at Sabis Sarwaran School. This interactive session focused on fostering creativity and encouraging students to explore entrepreneurial opportunities.

The activity was supervised by Assistant Lecturer Hevi Mohammed Qadir, the activities coordinator. Upon arrival at the school, they were warmly received by Shanaz Salim Hassan, the school principal.

The presentation covered the key steps in starting a business, including idea generation, market research, goal setting, and budget planning. The student emphasized the importance of choosing the right location, understanding the competition, and ensuring customer accessibility. Additionally, strategies for attracting and retaining customers through offers, seasonal discounts, and bundled deals were discussed, aiming to inspire young minds to explore entrepreneurial opportunities.

At the end of the presentation, the students had the opportunity to ask questions, which were answered by Kastro Aso Mohammed. The session concluded with a coffee break.

The Department of Medical Laboratory Concludes the “Foundation of Microbiology” Course

On, June 27, 2026, in an academic ceremony attended by the Head of the Department and all faculty members, the “Scientific Zakat” training course titled “Foundation of Microbiology” was successfully concluded. The course was organized and delivered by the faculty members, Asst. Lect. Hozan Qasim and Asst. Lect. Sherwan Hussein.

During the ceremony, certificates of participation were presented to the attendees. Furthermore, the department’s presidency commended the instructors and wished the participants continued success in their educational journey and the development of their practical and hands-on skills.

A Lecture on Technology and Artificial Intelligence Presented at Khani Cultural and Media Center

As part of the ongoing activities of the Technology and Artificial Intelligence Course and within the framework of volunteer services provided by the “Zakāt al-Ilm” Foundation at Cihan University-Duhok, Mr. Bilal Hikmat Rasheed presented a lecture on August 9, 2026. The session focused on the importance of technology and artificial intelligence and their impact on various fields of work, aiming to develop and enhance the skills of the participants, who are staff members of the Khani Cultural and Media Center.

Zakat Al-Ilm Foundation Organizes a Seminar on “First Aid” for Participants of the 5th Pedagogical Course

In line with the continuous directives of the University President (Prof. Dr. Zeravan Abdul-Muhsin Asaad) to emphasize awareness and development programs for all segments of society, and as part of the ongoing activities of the Zakat Al-Ilm Foundation at Cihan University-Duhok, a special seminar titled “First Aid” was presented on Tuesday, August 11, 2026.

The seminar was conducted by Mr. Bassam Shawkat and Mr. Karzan Ismail, lab instructors in the medical laboratories at the university, for the participants of the 5th Pedagogical Course. The session covered in detail the core principles of first aid, urgent procedures for saving patient lives, and effective protocols for managing emergency situations to protect community health.
