Under the supervision of Assistant Professor Dr. Qusay H. Al-Salami, a delegation of first-stage students conducted a diagnostic field visit to the kindergarten. The kindergarten director, Ms. Shirmin Faki Abdullah, and the teaching staff warmly received the delegation. During the field tour, the delegation observed extensive damage caused by recent heavy rains in the area. Several classroom ceilings had partially collapsed, rainwater had leaked indoors, and the flooring, along with educational and administrative furniture, had been severely damaged. In addition, the kindergarten was experiencing a complete power outage. Due to these unsafe conditions, the administration was forced to suspend operations to ensure the children’s safety.

Commenting on the initiative, the kindergarten director stated:

This initiative represents a real beacon of hope for our children. The partnership with the university will help us reopen the kindergarten and restore a safe and suitable educational environment once again.”

At the end of the visit, the kindergarten director and teaching staff expressed their sincere gratitude to the Cihan University–Erbil delegation for this humanitarian initiative, which aims to rehabilitate the kindergarten and transform it into a safe, supportive, and inspiring educational environment that contributes to building a better future for coming generations.
