Cihan University-Erbil, in Collaboration with the Alaistikshaf Company for Research and Training, Organized a Training Course for the Managers of Administrative Units in Salahdin Governorate.

The course, held in the conference hall of the Ankawa Royal Hotel in Erbil, took place from October 6 to October 10, 2024. It was a joint effort between the Department of Biochemical Analysis and the Department of International Relations and Diplomacy at Cihan University – Erbil.

The course was under supervision of  Assistant.Prof. Dr. Enas Diaa, a lecturer in the Department of International Relations and Diplomacy, who provided both theoretical and practical lectures on strategic planning, crisis management, and the application of artificial intelligence in strategic plans aimed at rebuilding Iraqi state institutions. This initiative highlights Cihan University – Erbil’s ongoing commitment to organizing such activities across various fields, with the goal of serving the community and contributing to the development of modern state institutions.

The Headship of the Anesthesia Technology Department at Cihan University–Erbil organized a scientific and awareness visit to Erinkoy Girls’ School on Wednesday, 4 February 2026, as part of its ongoing efforts to strengthen the link between academic learning and practical application.

The visit involved five students from the Anesthesia Technology Department and was conducted under the supervision of Lab Assistant Mirzan Mustafa Omar, in coordination with the school’s administration and teaching staff. The delegation was warmly received by the school principal, Engineer Arezoo Khalil Kamal, reflecting the spirit of cooperation between educational institutions.

During the visit, an awareness lecture was delivered to eleventh-grade students, introducing the Anesthesia Technology Department and highlighting its vital role in daily life, particularly within operating rooms. The session also covered basic medical topics, including blood pressure measurement methods, blood glucose monitoring, and the use of pulse oximeters, with an emphasis on the importance of healthy lifestyle practices.

The visit also included a practical component, during which school students were trained on how to use the medical devices and were given the opportunity to apply what they learned under direct supervision. The students showed strong interaction and interest throughout the activities, with many expressing enthusiasms for learning more about medical fields in the future.

At the end of the visit, the supervising staff member expressed appreciation to the administration and teaching staff of Erinkoy Girls’ School for their cooperation and warm reception, emphasizing the importance of such activities in promoting health awareness and enhancing students’ educational experiences.

The Department of Anesthesia Technology at the College of Health Technologies, Cihan University–Erbil, organized a scientific and humanitarian visit to Nanakali Hospital on February 2, 2026, with the participation of fourteen first-stage students.

The visit was conducted under the supervision of Assistant Laboratory Technician Mirzan Mustafa Omar, with the participation of Dr. Sara Laith Abduljalil, a general practitioner specializing in hematology and the person in charge of the Hematology Laboratory at Nanakali Hospital.

The visit included a field tour of the hospital facilities, during which students were introduced to several medical departments. During the visit, the students were divided into groups to gain insights into the nature of healthcare work and the mechanisms involved in providing medical care. In addition, they participated in a humanitarian activity that involved distributing gifts to children suffering from cancer. Blue and pink gifts were given to boys and girls, respectively, along with bouquets of flowers and symbolic financial contributions to support their psychological well-being.

The participating students demonstrated positive engagement and enthusiasm throughout the visit, expressing their appreciation for the importance of such activities in shaping their professional and humanitarian character. In turn, the medical and technical staff at Nanakali Hospital showed notable cooperation by guiding and assisting the students during the activity.

Within the “Zakat Al-Elm” program. Cihan University-Duhok Concludes First Aid Course for Peshmerga Forces

Under the directives of Prof. Dr. Zeravan Abdulmohsen Asaad, President of Cihan University-Duhok, and as part of the commitment to community awareness and development across various societal groups within the framework of the university’s “Zakat Al-Elm” project, and in coordination with the Peshmerga Cultural Center, the closing ceremony of the specialized First Aid course was held on Monday, July 13, 2026.

The course was conducted for the Medical Field Unit (9th Division) of the Peshmerga forces and presented by Mr. Bassam Showkat, an international trainer and specialist in Anesthesia and Intensive Care.

At the conclusion of the ceremony, certificates of participation and appreciation were distributed to the successful participants, honoring their efforts and highlighting the importance of empowering the brave Peshmerga forces with essential field and emergency medical skills.
