In the presence of Mrs. Sarwa Rasoul, Director General of the Crisis and Disaster Response Center in the Kurdistan Region, Bosa Menner, representative of the German Ministry of the Interior, Peter Pins, head of German volunteers and member of the INSARAG team, a THW representative in Germany, and a THW representative in the Kurdistan Region.
The cihan University in Sulaymaniyah was one of the participating academic institutions, with M.A. Nawroz Muhammad Abdul Rahman and laboratory assistant Abdullah Sabah Muhammad attending, completing the course successfully, and being awarded international certificates.
At the same time, the Community Response Week (CRT) campaign was launched in the governorates of Erbil, Sulaymaniyah, Duhok, Halabja, and the Rapehrin Autonomous Administration, with the participation of about 150 people in the course aimed at training trainers in universities and academic centers, which was organized as part of a joint plan between the Joint Crisis Coordination Center and the Ministry of Higher Education.
The course is internationally accredited and certified by the Ministry of Interior / Joint Crisis Coordination Center (JCC). It is a German international certificate that has been approved by INSARAG.
It is worth noting that the Ministry of Interior and the Joint Crisis Coordination Center work with the German Federal Agency (THW) to raise community awareness of crisis and disaster response using the simplest available household supplies, as well as to enable people to help themselves and their families before government teams arrive on site.
