Zakat Al-Ilm Foundation organized a workshop in cooperation with the Department of Architecture and the Department of Law entitled: “Housing Projects between Design, Contracts and Implementation”, in which the participants in the symposium spoke about housing projects in three different axes.
In the first axis, Mr. Assistant Lecturer. Architect (Barham Abdullah) spoke about the design of housing projects in terms of changing the general plan of the site (site plan), international standards, quality control of building materials, and points that buyers of housing units should pay attention to.
After that, Mr. Counselor Lawyer (Araz Kamal Muhammad) shed light in the second axis on contracts and points that cause lack of clarity in contracts, buyers’ rights, how to file complaints, and their procedures.
In the third axis, Ms. Civil Engineer (Chanar Ghaleb Muhammad) shed light on the problem of residents and service standards, and the impact of changing the general plan of the site on their lives.
At the end of the activity, certificates of appreciation were presented to the participants by the Assistant President of the University for Scientific Affairs and Postgraduate Studies, the Director of the Zakat Al-Ilm Foundation, and the Head of the Department of Architecture.

The students of the Translation Department at the College of Languages and Humanities at Erbil International University, on the occasion of World Translation Day, carried out a number of activities such as translating phrases related to puzzles and translating oral challenges for the visit to London.
