Ceremony for the conclusion of the course on methods and techniques of teaching the English language in the district of Aqrah.

On 7/8/2025, the Zakat Al-Ilm Foundation – Gihān University-Duhok, in collaboration with the California Language Institute, concluded a free training course for teaching English in the Aqrah district, with the participation of 45 young men and women, following a week of initiation that began on 3/8/2025.

This initiative came on the recommendation of Mr. (Professor Dr. Zirfan Abdul Mohsen Assad), President of Gihān University-Duhok, as part of enhancing volunteer work and community service, and in support of developing awareness and general culture among the youth.

The course was supervised by Mr. (Assistant Instructor Muhammad Faisal) from the Department of General Education, and Mr. (Muhammad Hussein) Director of the California Institute, where the course included daily lessons that combined theoretical and practical aspects, contributing to building the language skills of the participants.

At the conclusion of the course, participants expressed their gratitude and satisfaction with the course content, hoping it would be an important step in supporting their educational, professional, and community journey.

The students of the Translation Department at the College of Languages and Humanities at Erbil International University, on the occasion of World Translation Day, carried out a number of activities such as translating phrases related to puzzles and translating oral challenges for the visit to London.
