As part of a humanitarian initiative that embodies the spirit of giving and social responsibility among students, students from the Department of Law at Cihan University-Erbil, under the supervision of Professor Dr. Hisham Hashem Mikael, visited the Erbil orphanage to provide essential aid and gifts to orphaned children.
The orphanage director, Mr. Sherwan Abdul Rahman Hussein, welcomed the students and expressed his heartfelt thanks and gratitude for this initiative, which brings joy to the children’s hearts and fosters social solidarity.
During the visit, the students distributed aid and gifts to the children, in addition to spending quality time with them through recreational activities aimed at improving their psychological and social well-being. The students emphasized the importance of supporting this vulnerable group and creating a conducive environment for their growth and development.
Professor Dr. Hisham highlighted that this visit is part of the community service activities organized by the Department of Law at Cihan University, aimed at encouraging students to actively contribute to community service.
At the end of the visit, the children expressed their immense happiness with the initiative and hoped for more events like this to be held that bring hope and joy to their lives.

As part of Science Zakat Foundation program Cihan University-Duhok’s, sports unit, in collaboration with the English Department, organized a mountain climbing activity for English students. The head of the Duhok Mountaineering Center, Wahbi Mahdi Mustafa, attended and discussed mountaineering techniques from an academic perspective. With Cihan University-Duhok translators present, the students also participated in a cleanup campaign on Mount Qashfar
On Tuesday, November 18, 2025, Assistant Professor Dr. Nouri Hamah Saeed, Director of the Zakat Al-Ilm Foundation at Cihan University–Sulaymaniyah, held a seminar for the students of the Educational Complex (Sami Hussein Nazim) at the new Jawarchara residential complex. During the seminar, he highlighted the most common crimes among juveniles from the perspective of Islamic law and legislation. He also provided a summary of the Juvenile Care Law. Among the topics of the seminar were crimes related to the misuse of communication tools. In conclusion, the importance of upholding high values in educational institutions was emphasized. Thanks to the administration and teachers of the complex for their warm welcome.
On Saturday, October 25th, at 4:00 PM, a concert was held in the “Mohammed Arif Al-Jaziri” Hall under the slogan: (Kurdish singing and world music on one stage). After the success of the Jihan Orchestra, they presented their second performance in Erbil. We need to know if we can also hold this event in Duhok, so that artists and enthusiasts can benefit from it.Young people, teenagers, and even those with no prior experience were able to enjoy this artwork. Therefore, thanks to the readiness of a large number of art lovers and musicians in Duhok, this performance garnered widespread attention and was distinguished by its organization and execution.
