The experience of Mr. M. Hemin Osman, Director of the cihan Educational Society in Sulaymaniyah, who visited this country and toured numerous educational centers, was shared. This culminated in a valuable seminar for community teachers, featuring special discussions and debates on the subject.


Today, 20th July 2025, the fourth pedagogy course commenced at Cihan University – Sulaymaniyah, with 75 teachers from the Ministry of Education taking part. The course is being delivered in coordination with the Board of Trustees of Cihan Universities and the Ministry of Education in the Kurdistan Regional Government.
Organized by the Science Zakat Institution at Cihan University – Sulaymaniyah, the six-week program me features sessions led by specialists in education. The course aims to familiarize participants with the latest teaching methodologies and equip them to apply these skills in schools across the region.
As an educational institution, Cihan University – Sulaymaniyah is committed to fostering collaboration between academia and key sectors, particularly education. This initiative reflects the university’s ongoing efforts to strengthen such partnerships

As part of its ongoing activities, Zakat Al-Ilm Foundation launched a professional development training course on June 15, 2025, for the staff of Cihan University – Duhok. The initiative was organized based on the recommendations of Prof. Dr. Zeravan Abdulmuhsen Asaad, President of Cihan University – Duhok and General Supervisor of Zakat Al-Ilm Foundation in Duhok.

The first day of the course featured several insightful sessions, including:

🔸️– “Practice English with Dr. Bala” by Dr. Bala Chandran, Assistant Professor in the Department of General Education

🔸️– “Interpersonal Communication Skills” by Prof. Dr. Saber Abdullah, Director of the Psychological and Educational Counseling Center

🔸️– “From Daily Symptoms to Early Detection: The Role of Routine Checkups in Maintaining Health” by Dr. Kajeen Hassan, Dean and consultant to the Medical Colleges and Departments

The training will continue for three days and will cover a range of topics aimed at enhancing awareness, education, and professional development among the participants

Under the patronage and in the presence of Professor Dr. Zeravan Abdulmuhsen Asaad, President of the University, the College of Nursing launched today, June 28, 2025, a training course titled “Basic Life Support and First Aid”, supervised by Dr. Layla Mohammed Salih. The course is scheduled to run for five days.

The training aims to develop the academic teaching staff’s skills in handling medical emergencies, as part of a broader effort to strengthen professional competencies and ensure effective response in critical situations.

In the framework of a memorandum of understanding between the board of trustees of Cihan University and the Ministry of Education, the fourth pedagogical course specifically for teachers of the Dohuk Education Directorate was initiated under the supervision of Mr. (Dr. Zervan Abdul Mohsen Asad), President of Cihan University-Dohuk, and in the presence of Mr. (M. Omar Ali), General Director of Dohuk Education, Mr. (M. Yahya Rida), Director of Training and Rehabilitation at the Ministry of Education, and Mr. (Dr. Serbaz Aziz), Supervisor of Cihan University Academy, in addition to the presence of the Director of Training and Rehabilitation and directors of education from the (Eastern, Western, Semel, and Amadiya) regions.

At the beginning of the ceremonies, several speeches were delivered by the Director General of Education and Mr. (M.H. Salar Faisal Nuri), the Director of the Pedagogical Center, as well as by the course instructors. This course aims to develop the skills of education teachers and qualify them according to the latest curricula and scientific methods, linking them to modern standards and the requirements of the current era, in line with technological advancement. The course lasts for six weeks and includes daily theoretical and practical lessons presented to the participants.

Today, on September 7, 2025, the Academy of Cihan Universities, which supervises pedagogy courses for teachers of the Ministry of Education, attended the fourth round of the course at the World University in Duhok. This was in collaboration with M. Yahya Sayed Gul, the Director of Training and Development, and the accompanying team from the Minister’s Office at the Ministry of Education. The event was attended by the Director General of Education of Duhok, the Director of Education from the Ministry, and the Director of Training and Development for Duhok. The course then commenced its activities.




As part of the activities of the process of educational partnerships between the Global Educational Institution and the Global Education Office, today, Friday (February 13, 2025), Mr. Haval Najad, the assistant to the director of the Global Academy, presented a seminar titled “Leadership and Leadership Development” to the administrators, assistants, and staff of the Global Educational Community in Sulaymaniyah.In the seminar, which was presented as part of the scientific research project, the focus was on aspects of leadership, the criteria for being a leader, styles of leadership, and real-life examples presented to the participants.At the end, the Community of Global Education in Sulaymaniyah, represented by Dr. Tahha, head of the group of committed scholars and the global educational institutions and schools, presented Mr. Haval Najad.

An outstanding training workshop was held at Babagurgur University in collaboration with the Umbrella Center for Development and Training on February 22, 2025, attended by a group of faculty members and administrative and academic staff, as part of a program that combines vocational training and cultural celebration.

The workshop included two main activities:

The first paragraph: It was dedicated to the development of management skills, where lectures and practical workshops were presented that addressed modern management methods, work organization, and institutional performance improvement, contributing to enhancing the efficiency of the university’s workforce.

• The second paragraph: It was held in celebration of International Mother Language Day, and it included words and discussions that focused on the importance of preserving linguistic and cultural diversity, as well as promoting linguistic identity in educational environments. This event added a special cultural aspect to the workshop, enhancing the interaction of the attendees.

This workshop represents a model for the integration of professional development and cultural awareness, and embodies the university’s commitment to enhancing the capabilities of its staff and engaging with meaningful international events.

A specialized training course was organized at Babakerker University that lasted for two days, in collaboration with the Umbrella Center for Development and Training, from February 3 to 4, 2025, with widespread participation from the teaching staff.

The course aimed to enhance the scientific and cognitive skills of the teachers by offering a series of lectures and workshops that addressed modern teaching methods, improving academic performance, classroom management, and the use of educational technologies in the university environment.

The session witnessed the participation of more than 50 teachers from various departments, with an atmosphere of positive interaction and constructive discussion, which contributed to the exchange of experiences and the expansion of participants’ horizons in the fields of modern higher education.

This course is part of a series of developmental programs aimed at enhancing the efficiency of educational staff and contributing to the improvement of the quality of education at the university.

On December 22, 2024, Mr. Alan Hama Saeed Salih, Minister of Education in the Kurdistan Regional Government, participated in the closing ceremony of a training course held at the International University of Erbil. The event was also attended by Dr. Nawzad Yahya Said Bajger, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of Cihan Universities, and Dr. Hadi Mahdi Ahmad, President of the International University of Erbil.

The training course targeted a number of teachers from Erbil in the fields of technology, artificial intelligence, and English language. Cihan Academy deserves commendation for its excellent organization and coordination of the program.

At the conclusion of the ceremony, certificates of appreciation were distributed to the participating teachers.
