As a national and patriotic duty, and as an expression of deep solidarity with the resilient people of Rojava Kurdistan, students from the second and fourth stages of the Business Administration Department at Cihan University–Erbil organized a national and civil activity in opposition to the ongoing attacks carried out against the Kurds of that region by the Syrian government. The activity was conducted under the supervision of Assistant Lecturer Hevi Mohammed Qader and took place on Sultan Muzaffari Street in the city of Erbil.
On Wednesday, January 21, 2026, the students took a patriotic and solidarity-based initiative to support the Kurds of Rojava Kurdistan by wearing traditional Kurdish clothing and distributing more than 100 Kurdistan flags to citizens. This action reflected the students’ strong national awareness and their deep understanding of the seriousness and dangers of the inhumane actions being committed against the Kurds of Rojava in Syria.
It emphasized conveying a clear and compassionate message to all parties that the Kurdish people, across all parts of Kurdistan, are not divided, but rather stand united and speak with one voice during times of crisis and threat. The activity also served as a call to reaffirm the legitimate rights and national identity of the Kurdish people and to reject all forms of oppression and violations committed against them.
