On Tuesday, November 18, 2025, students from the Department of Public Administration at Cihan University–Erbil conducted an awareness campaign promoting good hygiene practices and flu prevention, under the supervision of Assistant Professor Dr. Hawkar Qasim Pidawod and coordinated by Assistant Lecturer Raz Azad Jalal.
The campaign focused on raising community awareness about the importance of preventing seasonal flu through proper hygiene and early recognition of symptoms. The initiative involved the participation of a group of fourth-year students under the supervision of their instructor. To support the campaign, the department’s academic staff, together with the students, prepared and distributed brochures titled “Seasonal Flu Is Around.
As part of the campaign, several students and their supervisor visited Gullan Mall and Bakhtyari Road in Erbil, where they distributed brochures to shopkeepers, workers, and citizens, encouraging them to follow healthy hygiene practices and take preventive measures against seasonal flu.
At the end of the campaign, shopkeepers, workers, and members of the public expressed their appreciation to the students for organizing and managing this important awareness activity.
