On Thursday, March 20, 2025, students from the Department of Business Administration at Cihan University-Erbil conducted an awareness campaign to promote the reduction of electricity usage under the supervision of Assistant Lecturer Hevi Mohammed Qadir. The aim of the activity was to spread awareness within the community about the importance of reducing electricity consumption in daily life and to highlight the negative effects of excessive electricity usage.

A group of fourth-year students participated in the initiative, which was also attended by several faculty members. For this purpose, the scientific staff of the department, along with the students, prepared and distributed brochures titled, Reduce Your Usage, Brighten the Future. During the campaign, the students emphasized the importance of turning off lights and electrical appliances in households and shops. They also explained how small changes in daily habits can lead to significant positive impacts on the future.

The campaign not only aimed to reduce electricity usage but also sought to raise awareness about the negative effects of excessive energy consumption and to encourage the use of natural resources. As a result, the campaign played an influential role in increasing public consciousness and motivating individuals to adopt a greener and more environmentally friendly lifestyle.

As part of the ongoing activities of the Technology and Artificial Intelligence Course and within the framework of volunteer services provided by the “Zakāt al-Ilm” Foundation at Cihan University-Duhok, Mr. Bilal Hikmat Rasheed presented a lecture on August 9, 2026. The session focused on the importance of technology and artificial intelligence and their impact on various fields of work, aiming to develop and enhance the skills of the participants, who are staff members of the Khani Cultural and Media Center.

Zakat Al-Ilm Foundation Organizes a Seminar on “First Aid” for Participants of the 5th Pedagogical Course

In line with the continuous directives of the University President (Prof. Dr. Zeravan Abdul-Muhsin Asaad) to emphasize awareness and development programs for all segments of society, and as part of the ongoing activities of the Zakat Al-Ilm Foundation at Cihan University-Duhok, a special seminar titled “First Aid” was presented on Tuesday, August 11, 2026.

The seminar was conducted by Mr. Bassam Shawkat and Mr. Karzan Ismail, lab instructors in the medical laboratories at the university, for the participants of the 5th Pedagogical Course. The session covered in detail the core principles of first aid, urgent procedures for saving patient lives, and effective protocols for managing emergency situations to protect community health.
