On July 20, 2025, and under the guidance of the President of Cihan University – Duhok, (Prof. Dr. Zeravan Abdulmuhsen Asaad) and with the supervision of lecturers from the Department of Computer Science, a five-day training course titled “Computer Technology & Artificial Intelligence” was successfully concluded. The course began on July 14, 2025, and was organized as part of the “Scientific Zakat Foundation” initiative.
On 24/7/2025, the Zakat Al-Ilm Center concluded an intensive training course on English language teaching methods that lasted for two weeks, as part of the center’s efforts to enhance the language skills of youth, and in accordance with the directions of Professor Dr. Zervan Abdul Mohsen As’ad, President of Cihan University-Duhok, who emphasized the importance of developing educational and awareness programs that contribute to the development of the capabilities of various segments of society and enhance social cohesion.
This course was organized in coordination with the Sports and Youth Center in Domiz, affiliated with the Directorate of Youth in Dohuk Governorate, while the training was led by Professor Muhammad Faisal, a lecturer in the General Education Department. The course featured practical and interactive lectures using the latest educational tools in the field of English language teaching, and at the end of the course, participation certificates were distributed to those who successfully completed the program.

This seminar helps beginner authors turn personal ideas into research projects, focusing on idea generation and topic selection. Today, Wednesday, July 9, 2025, a presentation titled “Becoming the Best Version of Yourself” was delivered by Miss Jwana Mushtaq at the CRC Hall, Cihan University – Duhok. The session targeted staff and employees, focusing on strategies for self-development, personal growth, and workplace motivation. The event was part of the university’s ongoing commitment to staff development and well-being.
On July 30, 2025, the Clinical Biochemistry Department at Cihan University – Duhok successfully concluded a three-day training course titled “Comprehensive Summer Training in Clinical Biochemistry Laboratory Practice”.
This course was part of the “Zakat Al-Ilm” program, which features a range of training courses, workshops, and various academic, scientific, and cultural activities aimed at supporting the academic and personal development of students and diverse societal groups.
The course was held under the direct supervision of Prof. Dr. Zeravan Abdulmuhsen Asaad, President of Cihan University – Duhok, who emphasized the importance of these training courses in preparing a building skilled youth.
On 5/7/2025, to serve and improve the scientific level of students and graduates of science and health departments, a scientific course was launched by the Medical Microbiology Department under the title ((Preparing the culture media used for isolation and identification of bacteria)) that will continue for three days. It is worth to mention that This course is part of the ((Zakat Al-Ilm)) at Cihan-University-Duhok, which consists of a number of courses, workshops and various academic, scientific and cultural activities for serving and developing different academic and society groups.
The English language course organized by the Literacy Center at Cihan University – Duhok concluded on Thursday, July 24, 2025. The course was held based on the recommendation of Prof. Dr. Zeravan Abdulmuhsen Asaad, President of the University, emphasizing the importance of enhancing the center’s role in serving the community and improving the participants’ language skills
On July 01, 2025, As part of the Science Zakat Foundation’s initiatives, and in collaboration with the Department of Anesthesia, the third and final day of the “Emergency Response, First Aid, and CPR” training course is taking place today.
The program is conducted under the supervision of (Dr. Mohamad A.M. Saleh) and (Mr. Bassam Shawkat), who have served as lead trainers throughout the course.
