The program about women’s leadership in government institutions and high blood pressure discusses women’s leadership and how to deal with it among women. Sometimes women are ignored or overlooked.

Some women are called leaders. Some women hold positions in the political arena.

The “Zakat Al-Ilm” program successfully concluded the training course entitled “Urine Analysis – Principles and Application” which was held from 13 to 15 July 2025. The training course aims to equip healthcare workers and laboratory staff with the knowledge and practical skills needed to accurately conduct, interpret, and report urine analysis tests, enhancing the accuracy of diagnosis, patient care, and clinical decision-making.

The Zakat Al-Ilm Foundation in Duhok held the closing ceremony of the Happy Family Principles course as part of the recommendations of Mr. Professor Dr. Zervan Abdul Mohsen Assad, President of Duhok University, concerning enhancing the role of the university in serving the community and empowering women on psychological, social, and familial levels. The ceremony took place on Wednesday, August 27, 2025, marking the end of the Happy Family Principles course organized by the Zakat Al-Ilm Foundation in cooperation with the Women’s Union of Kurdistan – Duhok Center. The course targeted (25) women and lasted for two days, including awareness-raising and training topics aimed at enhancing the capabilities of the participating women and empowering them to effectively fulfill their roles within the family and community.

On 18/8/2025, according to the recommendations of Professor Dr. Zervan Abdul Mohsen As’ad, President of Cihan University-Duhok, and within the framework of the Zakat Al-Elim Foundation’s program for serving various segments of society, the foundation launched, in coordination with the Rawanduz Technical Institute in Zakho, a training course titled “Personal Development from Physical, Psychological, and Social Aspects,” which will last for one week. The course is supervised by Dr. Djwar Ahmad, a specialist in the field of personal development, with the participation of several specialists and experts in the fields of medicine, psychology, and sociology. 🔸 Course Topics: – Personal development from the physiological aspect. -Personal development from the psychological aspect. – Personal development from the sociological (social) aspect. – Enhancing legal awareness in organizing and building personality.
Within the framework of the continuous recommendations of Mr. (Prof. Dr. Zervan Abdul Mohsen As’ad), President of the Cihan University – Duhok, and in the context of ongoing efforts to serve the community, the Zakat Al-Ilm Foundation organized a training course titled “First Aid” on (8/6/2025), for the employees of the Directorate for Combating Violence Against Women and Family in Dohuk Province. The course was presented by Dr. Leila Mohammed Saleh, Dean of the Nursing College, with the assistance of Mr. Karzan Ismail, a laboratory assistant. The course covered many important theoretical and practical topics, including principles of first aid, cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR), controlling bleeding, treating fractures and burns, dealing with choking cases, loss of consciousness, electric shocks, drowning, and injuries caused by high temperatures. The course aimed to enhance the readiness and efficiency of the participating staff, enabling them to respond quickly and effectively to save lives and handle emergency cases in their work environment.
Within the framework of the recommendations of Dr. Zervan Abdul Mohsen Assad, President of Cihan University – Duhok, regarding enhancing the university’s role in serving the community and empowering women on psychological, social, and family levels, a closing ceremony for the Human Development Course organized by the Zakat Al-Ilm Foundation – Duhok, in cooperation with the Kurdistan Women’s Union – Zakho Center, was held on August 6, 2025, in the Zakho autonomous administration. The course targeted 72 women from various areas of the Zakho administration and lasted for three days, including informational and training modules aimed at enhancing the capabilities of the participating women and enabling them to effectively perform their roles within the family and society. The course covered the following topics: 1. Health awareness, supervised by Dr. Mufaq Ramzi. 2. The role of women in the family and family psychological support, supervised by Assistant Instructor Araz Adel Saleh. 3. Foundations for building a happy and stable family, presented by trainer Riyad Ferzo Mahmoud over three days, addressing essential topics related to family relationships and positive communication. At the conclusion of the course, participation certificates were distributed to the attending women in appreciation of their commitment and active participation.
On July 30, 2025, as part of the recommendations of Professor Dr. Zervan Abdul Mohsen Asad, President of the Cihan University-Duhok, and with the initiative of the Scientific Zakat Foundation, an awareness course titled “Principles of Happiness for the Family” was concluded in cooperation with the Kurdistan Women’s Union – Amadiya Center, and the Amadiya Local Committee. This course included (51) participants of both genders, and was led by trainer Riad Farzou Mahmoud from the General Education Department – Psychology Branch, lasting three consecutive days. The program included several important topics related to building a happy family, the foundations of family understanding, in addition to discussing the main family challenges and ways to address them, through interactive discussion sessions in which attendees actively participated. The aim of this course is to raise family and social awareness and to promote a culture of dialogue and understanding within the family, contributing to the building of a cohesive and stable community.
In line with the recommendations of the President of Cihan University – Duhok, Prof. Dr. Dr. Zeravan Abdulmuhsen Asaad, emphasizing the importance of the university’s role in community service and individual capacity development, the Scientific Zakat Foundation – Duhok Branch launched a training course titled “Towards a Happy Family” on July 28, 2025. This initiative falls within the Foundation’s social activities aimed at promoting family stability and enhancing psychological and social awareness. The course witnessed the participation of more than 50 men and women from the Amedi District in Duhok Governorate, in coordination with the Kurdistan Women’s Union – Amedi Center. It is being led by Mr. Riyadh Farzou Mahmood, from the Department of General Education – Psychology Branch. The course will continue for three consecutive days and includes interactive sessions and training lectures designed to equip participants with essential skills for building balanced family relationships and strengthening psychological and social support within the household. At the end of the course, participation certificates will be awarded to all attendees in recognition of their commitment and engagement — a step toward building a more aware and cohesive society.
