‏Conclusion of the Programming (C++) Training Course

The Zakat Al-Ilm Foundation at Cihan University – Duhok has recently concluded a successful intensive training course in C++ programming language, significantly enhancing the scientific and technical skills of its students and local programming enthusiasts. The five-day course took place from Sunday, July 20 to Thursday, July 24, 2025, and aimed to refine the participants’ programming capabilities and prepare them to keep pace with the rapidly evolving technological landscape. The sessions were practically led by Ms. Duzdar Mahdi Ahmed, a lecturer in the Computer Science Department. Her instruction covered fundamental C++ topics such as variables, data types, conditional structures, loops, functions, and arrays. To foster participant engagement and assess comprehension, the course included a scientific competition using “Kahoot!”. Prof. Dr. Zeravan Abdulmuhsen Asaad, President of Cihan University – Duhok, directly supervised the course and highlighted its importance in building skilled youth. As part of the “Science Zakat Foundation” initiative by Cihan University – Duhok, the scientific course titled “Principles and Main Roles of Antibiotics” officially commenced on July 22, 2025, organized by the College of Pharmacy for students from various medical faculties and departments. The course aims to enhance awareness about antibiotics, their appropriate use, mechanisms of action against different types of bacterial infections, and to provide guidance on dosage regimens and classification of various antibiotic agents.

The Charity Foundation for Knowledge has opened a training course for medical laboratory staff and graduates

In line with the recommendations of Mr. (Professor Dr. Zervan Abdul Mohsen Assaad), the President of the University, the Zakat Al-Ilm Foundation launched a training course to develop the basic skills of medical laboratory staff by the Department of Pathological Analysis, on (20/7/2025). This initiative is part of the foundation’s interest in qualifying young staff and providing the healthcare sector with trained scientific capacities, in accordance with its plan to serve various segments of society through continuous awareness, training, and education programs. The course was supervised by Mr. (M. Milt Hussein), Head of the Department of Pathological Analysis, and targeted students and graduates of the Medical Laboratory Department, with the aim of enhancing their practical competencies and strengthening their abilities in essential laboratory skills.

Science Zakat Foundation Holds Two Awareness Seminars as Part of a Youth Empowerment Project  Based on the directives of Professor Dr. Zeravan Abdulmuhsen Asaad, President of Cihan University – Duhok, and within the framework of ongoing efforts to promote awareness programs and public education in legal and technological matters across various segments of society — particularly the youth — the Science Zakat Foundation in Duhok, in coordination with the Directorate of Youth and Sports in Duhok Governorate, organized two seminars on July 30, 2025. These seminars targeted participants enrolled in the “Methods and Tools for English Language Learning” course.  The seminars were presented by:  Dr. Dzhwar Ahmed, from the Department of Law, who addressed legal awareness and the dangers of the misuse of social media tools, with a focus on legal perspectives and digital violations.  Mr. Khalid Ibrahim, from the Department of Computer Science, who delivered a presentation on the technical issues faced by social media users and the potential technological solutions to overcome these challenges.

‏Free English Course for 65 Young People by Science Zakat Foundation

Following the recommendations of Prof. Dr. Zeravan Abdulmuhsen Asaad, President of Cihan University–Duhok, the Science Zakat Foundation, in cooperation with the Duhok Directorate of Youth and Sports, launched a free English course for 65 young men and women.

The course started on July 20, 2025, and aims to help participants improve their English for better study and job opportunities.

It is led by Assistant Lecturer Husam Nazar Rashid from the English Department and includes daily lessons for one week, during which different methods of learning English will be clearly explained to the participants

On July 20, 2025, and under the guidance of the President of Cihan University – Duhok, (Prof. Dr. Zeravan Abdulmuhsen Asaad) and with the supervision of lecturers from the Department of Computer Science, a five-day training course titled “Computer Technology & Artificial Intelligence” was successfully concluded. The Zakat Al-Ilm Center concludes an intensive training course in English

On 24/7/2025, the Zakat Al-Ilm Center concluded an intensive training course on English language teaching methods that lasted for two weeks, as part of the center’s efforts to enhance the language skills of youth, and in accordance with the directions of Professor Dr. Zervan Abdul Mohsen As’ad, President of Cihan University-Duhok, who emphasized the importance of developing educational and awareness programs that contribute to the development of the capabilities of various segments of society and enhance social cohesion. This course was organized in coordination with the Sports and Youth Center in Domiz, affiliated with the Directorate of Youth in Dohuk Governorate, while the training was led by Professor Muhammad Faisal, a lecturer in the General Education Department. The course featured practical and interactive lectures using the latest educational tools in the field of English language teaching, and at the end of the course, participation certificates were distributed to those who successfully completed the program.
