Babagurgur University hosted a delegation from the College of Medicine – University of Kirkuk on February 10, 2025, in celebration of National Obesity Day, as part of the cooperation between universities to activate health awareness and promote medical culture among students.
The visit included organizing an awareness seminar on obesity, discussing the definition of the causes of obesity and its health and psychological complications, as well as ways to prevent it through a healthy lifestyle, balanced nutrition, and physical activity.

A training course in first aid was held at Babakerker University on February 4, 2025, lasting for 4 hours, with the participation of several students and faculty members.
The course included a theoretical aspect that addressed the basic principles of first aid, such as dealing with cases of bleeding, burns, fractures, and choking, in addition to a practical aspect where participants were trained to apply first aid directly using field tools and equipment.
The course aimed to raise health awareness and readiness to deal with emergency situations, and to increase participants’ confidence in taking quick and correct actions in critical situations.
